Footsteps on the shore lay there

As closing tide sweeps near to me.

In haste, I try to place with care

Myself in image, I would be

To have fulfilled my fantasy.

Erasing waters wave goodbye

To moments of that unborn time

With dreams of foolish such as I,

Sun sets ‘pon reason and the rhyme

As sands absorb the last, of mine.

(c)  ZYDHA HART  2005

I have always felt that we are simply a slight dent in the face of history.

Reality is to see life as it is....and to make the best of what is there.

Zy, It's not often that we can leave evidence of our existence that will be long after remembered, at least not upon the shore with passing tides. Yes perhaps we do leave a slight impression in the realms of time for a short moment, like all those who walked before us...Tony (potleek)

mmnnn...the odd poem may surface since some have been published and their ISBNs

will last longer than me, but as we are a family of four in total from four generations, Tony,

I don't think too much will be evident eventually, but, I'd like to leave some of my words, Zy

Whether or not one can leave memories or simply remnants of one's time on earth, this is a beautifully written piece, all the phraseology is so evocative of a sad soul, wishing to leave more of ourselves  than we ever can.

A very sad, gentle read.

You know me well, David, I have been a writer of words for most of my life,

they say as much about me as might ever be said, but first...they have to be read

since so much is said between the lines, thank you, Love Les x
