No one 'should have' more power over self than...self...and if they do, any blame in living foolishly rests within self, that's what rehearsals are for, remember that song...."Life is a Cabaret" mmnnn , Zy Opposites exist by virtue of each other

If only I could do the same, without hesitation, I'd be so proud. (and would, no doubt, have taken more chances in my life). You have great rhyme and rhythm throughout the poem, too, making it a pleasure to read. Dx Could do with a glass of rosé!
