Fluff first of all don't pay too much attention to the thing about forgetting where you've put things or what or why you entered a room, these are just little things that haven't become firmly stuck in the subconscious part of the brain.
Now once again I think this is a really brave write but it is the start to knowing who you are and the things that made you.
You'll find that children can become perfect little monsters and yes we've all been through that, even if we don't admit to it.
All our paths are different yet still able to relate to where you are coming from, thanks for sharing this with us...Tony (potleek)

I have been meaning to get back to reading this for a while, Fluff, you posted at a difficult time for me and like Tony said, this is so much 'the getting to know myself' kids (and adults) go through at times.

We are al such individuals in our mental and physical make-up that any two people would have numerous differences, but you do use a turn of phrase which is entertaining and yet at the same time as creating a sympathy for your physical problems with the cataracts etc you have an honesty which makes one (moi, for instance smiley8) think...you were a temperamental litte monkey who would have tried anyone's patience, but now you are venturing into the time of your father parting from your mum and your home life, one can sense the added interest to come.

You have never read any of my chapters, Fluff, but I did find the beginning a hard place to start as one wishes to get to the 'nitty gritty' of the whys and wherefors and one has to be careful in case of 'time jumbling' ... looking forward to more, Zy x

Hi Tony

I'm so, so sorry it's taken me so long to reply to this! It's been a bit crazy recently between work, trying to write and of course I'm back to studying again now. I'm pleased that this chapter didn't just seem like a bit of waffle. I'm finding it hard at the moment to... Kind of know... How to write it. But I'm just going with my heart and it seems to be going OK so far, I think.

I really, really appreciate you taking the time to read this - it means ever such a lot.
Best,
Fluff x

Hi Zy

Thank you too for taking the time to read this - I'm ever so sorry I haven't been able to be around that much lately -- but I am back to studying so trying to keep on top of it this time after having been at the point of wanting to jack it in completely earlier this year lol. I am hoping things have worked out with that - (long story) but just waiting for confirmation of it from the University. If all goes well, I should be able to carry on my studies at a steady rate AND still pass with a titled degree! (It's been a nightmare getting to this point so I am hoping they say yes!) Anyway...

I am so pleased to read that... It reads like me. Because thats what I am trying to get across in this book - who I actually AM. I want people to read it and feel like they know me - the cheek, the humour and equally... The journey. I am worried about how it sounds. As much as I want it to sound a bit lighthearted sometimes, I don't want to come across as being a bit dim... I mean, I know I can be, but that isn't ME.

I would love to read some of your book Zy, when the time is right for both of us. I mean that in the sense that yours is half-finished and I know you are not one for leaving things half-finished, but also, if I was to read it, I'd want to just... Take it in. Comprehend it properly and give it the respect it deserves. I hope that makes sense. But I hope that I get to share that with you, sometime. I'd be really honoured xx

Hy Fluff, great news that you have got back your enthusiasm for your degree, time can become our enemy, but never as much as when we are so far beyond that possibility that we wish "If only"... so fingers crossed it all goes the best way possible and you get what you want,
cos thats the way to go for it, because you want it.

Well, it reads like the you I know, Fluff, and I do, know you very well, so keep in mind you are also writing as an introduction of both personality
and character to a stranger...but yes, there is both an interest and an aspect of..."I want to know more". Don't give up on it if the degree moves in on your time, because,
and going back to my book which has been on the go for decades with huge breaks inbetween, it is difficult to keep an even flow in both thinking and interpretation as we ourselves move on...our views, our opinions (even of those close to us) will vary and often break the flow and you will find yourself editing much more than you may have intended each time you read through.

Hahaha, the number of people who have read my book (so far) count on one hand, basically because it is so personal, but maybe one day, Fluff, keep up the good work and wish Lindsey a Happy Birthday from us, love to both, Les xx

Hi Zy

Yeah, I think I have got some of the enthusiasm back for my degree - just depends on whether or not they say I can do it without losing the title of it, but I'm still waiting for a response to that. Fingers crossed! It's just getting back into the swing of studying for 16-20 hours a week on top of the 40 that I work and keeping a house clean and obviously spending time with Lyndsey too. It's a challenge that's for sure!

I am going to try and keep on top of my book this time though, when I can obviously, but I think I like the way it is flowing so far.

Lyndsey had a lovely birthday too, thank you and love to all xx
