Life’s Cruel Graffiti

I’ve cried in my sadness,

Rejoiced in my madness!

I’ve danced in my gladness,
Regretted my badness,

Artists igniting the fire of desire

Explorers, philosophers, those who inspire

So much in this world that I’ve come to admire

But life’s cruel graffiti

Still tries to defeat me.
Ancestors who meet me
Are come now, to greet me.
