Mrs. Maxwell's Holiday

Jenny Maxwell was in her fifties, she was a spinster, perhaps not through choice it was just the way things happen to turn out, life is like that sometimes.

It’s not that she wasn’t what you might call good looking, for she carried herself quite well and still had quite a good figure.

There had been men in her life, really not that many for she was a hard person to please, like everything in her life it had to be kind of perfect, at least by her standards.

Holidays were always a problem for her she always seemed to find something wrong with where ever she stayed.

heehee....you naughty person, you, but I like it, certainly did not see the ending coming, Tony.

You really do have a penchant for these shorter stories (so much like the 500 word ones I used to send in to magazines way back in late 50s and early 60s....this was exactly what thry were looking for and they paid. I bought The Peoples Friend last month thinking to get back onto that bandwagon as a new year resolution, but, lol, I'm nearly 6 decades beyond those days and nowhere near as fit to sit still or even up as much. Loved your humour here and it deserves to be read more, Zy

Zy many thanks for reading, I did bump it up before it got lost. Nah! There was nothing naughty about it, I did say it wasn't up to me to tell what happened. So what were your thoughts...lol. But glad you enjoyed it...Tony (potleek)
