FANTASY

I poked a hole in the night-time sky
as all the cars went rushing by,
all I wished for, was to fly
beyond the queues of life nearby.

I wished for quiet and for peace
where all earthly sounds will cease
and darkened shadows should decrease
as self unfurls to find release.

Tomorrow's sun came shining through,
a sky of darkness glowed anew,
this is my fantasy come true
and the world wondered, who withdrew.
