We couldn’t resist buying the Ouija board when we saw it going so cheaply in the second hand shop, we agreed we’d give it back to them once we’d tried it but right now, both Sue and I were full of curiosity and anticipation.

After we’d eaten dinner and had a couple of glasses of wine for courage, we went upstairs to my bedroom so we’d not be disturbed by anyone (and we didn’t really want anyone to know) since we’d just had a lecture on playing around with spiritualism and the occult. Each year around Halloween, each sorority house tries to outdo the other with the scariest stories and this year, we wanted us to win, but, no excessive effects were to be used.

On the "Today" page when I first read it I thought, Nah she wouldn't be that daft as to buy a Ouija board. Then when I started to read...It's me that's daft thinking that way. So let that be a warning to anyone who doesn't understand where a Ouija board can lead you. Fun part is when the glass starts to move when players hold their fingers onto the glass...Now you've opened the door...whoa betide anyone who ventures there. As for the story, I enjoyed very much...Fact, it's more than possible...Tony (potleek) Les I wish you had read the rest of Kent Nerburns books that NAF discussed, I have just finished reading them for the third time. There is more to this world (spirit wise) than we understand. This would be a great discussion topic if only I had the courage to go into it. it's like standing on the side of the ocean, it's too deep for me to enter in.

This is an oldie, Tony, but it;s quite a timely palaver to change skin and extras and a few of the older members have been looking in but not yet participating....I am not well enough to keep on the board for long terms so will contribute as I can, but thanks.

I did read half of Ned Kerburns 'Niether Wolf nor Dog' but it did not hold my interest, remembering the we have walked the land of quite a few tribes and felt the sensation of their spirituality and I am far from sceptic about what was done and how it was denied.

Perhaps when I am feeling better I could open a sub site to this one simply for discussion and debate purposes? Zy

Zy I understand the amount of time you can give to the corner...if and when is okay. I can understand reading Neither Wolf nor dog that it did not hold your interest, but it was only the beginning of a journey, it's not really to you get into the third book of the journey that the sprit side of things start to come through. I'm not into spirits of any kind, I know not to put my hand into a fire for I know the results. There are things I believe and have seen, but don't understand and I leave it at that...Tony (potleek)
