Opening day

School was never what I called exciting apart from one time, our class was asked to put things into what they called a time capsule, not that it was all that big it was more of a folder which had been locked in the headmasters safe with instructions not to be opened until a date way into the future.

What an awesome story, I will be careful not to ruin it for anyone else, but that is right up my street and very unexpected! Apart from the depiction of how unpredictable life can be and how things that mark a moment are so very poignant. Love it Tony :)

What an unexpected ending, Tony, you are good at these shorter stories,

I shan't spoil it for David but I did enjoy your thinking here, another clever twist of time passed, Zy

Hey Tony,

I'm sounding like a broken record, in fact, all three of us are! I never know how your stories are going to end, as they always have this unique twist in the tail. I sometimes try to outfox the story as I read, assuming an oblique kind of finale, but am invariable wrong ~ and yet again, Tony, I was so surprised at the contents of your time capsule, a great short story.

Sacha, Zy, David thank you all for reading and commenting. I know it's difficult not to spoil the plot when commenting. To be honest when I started this piece I had no idea where it was going, it kind of evolved as I was writing it. With a few little changes here and there and a few typo's which we'll not mention :)...Tony (potleek)

I loved the final line particularly, and I liked the plausibility of how things progressed for you both and that they were not all bright and sunny for all - but the twist is fantastic! :)
