picture from the wind in the willows

Asthe winds of winter
sing their sad lament to
the dying year,
 and the Jack Frost paints

 the darkening world,
all of nature hold its breath,
even the trees listen
closely to the choral voices
of the wolves as they call

to the fully haloed winter moon...
As the flakes of snow begin their
ballet, accompanied by winters tune,
the tune she has sung

 since the dawn of time,
nature prepares her creatures for sleep..

while,in the world man

we dreams of life renewed..

A sad yet beautifully drawn picture in words, Vicki, perfect for your chosen picture...
not my favourite time of year either, we are feeling the cold dreadfully, but...

we heard from a friend in Ste Maxime the other day and they are having their seasonal
flooding with a loss of four lives, it is so severe with wind and rain at the moment.
Swings and roundabouts, eh? But this is definately a delightful read of winter's gloom, Zy x

Weather, how terrible it is, we are enjoying mild weather, just wait awhile and it will change...love your art and poem, so naturally warm and cozy...nature takes care of its own...

I hate winter Zy as you know, but, seeing fresh snow is always quite special, although I prefer to see it from a distance now, like 100 miles away on TV, or just in pictures... I do wish I could hibernate! I am a bit at the moment though aren't I, only going out if its dry in case my dressing get wet, but hopefully that will change next week as I have the pin out.. so should be able to put shoes on, and, manage stairs.. yipeee.

Thank you for reading and replying to this, I know you can't spend long on your laptop at the moment.

Our weather is quite mild Maria, but its been a bit wet, not very Christmassy at all but I'm not complaining.. Glad you like my poem

Thanks
