She was everything every girl ever wanted to be,

successful and rich, living in a beachfront hut

with smaller proportions than one would expect,

but she lived alone, unknown, to her neighbours;

She flew solo, the beauty of the bay,

spent her hours by herself, every single day

except for her birthday, then was her delight

she would throw a party, lasting all the night.

Music, candles, vans with booze

guests were many, but one she’d loose

When all went home to along the way

Except the last, she’d persuade to stay.

Romance flared and her nostrils too

To late - he remembered, what to do,

He’d thought to woo then make his wife

But, her teeth bit deep, as he gave his life.

Noone ever knew, how old she really was

But sensed the local young men fed her lifelong cause,

So when the invitations come, everybody knows

Go, but don’t be last to leave, when her lifeline, grows;
