Cowboy Art Jackson Hole | Clark Kelley Price Art - Jackson Hole ...

Cowboy knows
How nature goes
The wild creature
Knows dignity and beauty
They are one of a kind
Empathy is found
In hearts of those
Who know stars and sky
Men can't be fenced in
They can't begin to see
That barbwire
Makes one bleed
Cling till it is cut off
By a hand that put them up
The land belongs to no one.

Maria it is a sad picture and no doubt many wild creatures were troubled by barbed wire in the past and probably still are today.
But I suppose there might have been some kind people in those days who rescued the wild animals...Tony (potleek)

I guess barbed wire was cheap for the use of when cordoning off ones claim in days gone by, Maria,
now i guess it's now just a convenient way of keeping both creatures and others off what is theirs.

It's truely sad when one sees this scenario and the damage done can often be fatal,

Thanks Tony and Zy, the picture touched me, I felt deeply soulful when I saw it, had to write something to the marvelous picture that shows that a tough cowboy doesn't always shoot the wild critters. They "do" come along to rescue the poor creature caught in the razor sharp wire. Most of the cattle barons let their herd run free. I wish they all would.
