Re:Plat de mémoires Date Posted:27-04-2015 02:20Copy HTML I've had fun with this one, Emma, though not quite as bilingual as you are,
I have enough understanding of French to relish the meaning behind these words... what a lovely thought, to savour and select the special memories from life's dishes and keep as a platter close to one's heart, Zy x (I hope I've got it right) Opposites exist by virtue of each other

Re:Plat de mémoires Date Posted:27-04-2015 05:12Copy HTML Sorry Emma, I am sure it was lovely, but I do not read French. So I am sorry if I do not give credit where credit is due.

Re:Plat de mémoires Date Posted:30-04-2015 06:10Copy HTML Thank you Maria, I do have the English version on here in the poetry forum which is why I posted this in my page as I know most people are not french speaking - I appreciate you taking the time to look and to comment - I write more and more in French these days which was my first language - a sign I must be getting old I think :-)
Thanks Zy, I like to think that our lives are shaped by experience and cooking is just such an experience, what we learn as children, to our children and grandchildren, it is like a rich tapestry. I do not pretend to be a great cook, but my sons all love my cooking because I think I took the time when they were children to cook dishes, rather than serve up rubbish from cheap supermarkets Emma x |
