Date Posted:03-12-2015 07:42Copy HTML Imagery Poetry | Poetry In Motion (P.I.M.) Imagery makes me see day and night How can one see insightfulness Visionaries see I know it's not me I imagine things Light and dark A spark to write Visualized, seeking meaning To life, love ~ happenings It brings to mind prose or poem It depends on how I feel The yin/yang of scripting No greed in this It is the need to feed upon the subject Atonement for past offenses I love life and yet I cringe As though scratching of fingernails Across a chalk board Quake and shake at the surreal I cannot stand violence I watched a story on TV the other day Cruel violence played I was repulsed and yet I could not turn away Wanting to see the outcome of violence Leaving me with nightmares ... stunned What made the cruel act feel like pleasure to someone I wish I knew Imagery is powerful It makes us ponder I wish I had never spent Time watching abhorrent things It makes me feel disdain Evil things men do against fellow men I am eschewed Did the devil make them do the evil that they did. Re:The Things that Men Do Date Posted:03-12-2015 09:35Copy HTML Maria I too dislike violence, I pick my viewing programmes very carefully.
But what men do to men is in their nature, it always has been, perhaps we'll never learn to live in harmony....Tony (potleek)

Re:The Things that Men Do Date Posted:04-12-2015 12:37Copy HTML I hate to see true crime stories, they are hard to watch and extremely violent. I watched this one thinking that I would learn from it, and no, it left me traumatized. It is too horrible to speak about, I only know that I will not watch something like that again. Thanks for responding Tony, I had to share this one, because it is a warning to women like myself to be aware that that are nasty and evil men out there. To be watchful. Thanks for understanding though.

Re:The Things that Men Do Date Posted:18-02-2016 03:59Copy HTML You really have kept the Gallery ticking over, Mrs, and I thank you...
and what an amazing write, Maria, so fundamentally honest, we do tend to find ourselves absorbing details, facts which live in within our deeper chasms of disturbance: we live in a time when the yardstick has been raised for the norm and like you (and Tony) I censor violent programs out of my viewing material...I have read enough about such happenings over the years and have no wish to see them enacted before me. A super piccie to compliment a great piece of writing, Maria, and worthy of more comment, Zy x Opposites exist by virtue of each other

Re:The Things that Men Do Date Posted:18-02-2016 04:05Copy HTML Thanks Tony and Zy. I hate watching reality shows. I don't mind watching the old movies, knowing that it is imagined not real. I wish I didn't see the show the other day, it was gruesome and violent. I cannot believe men doing those horrid things, and yet I know they do.
