in a far away land

or was it in

another galaxy

a beautiful princess

or was it an

ugly old hag

trouble is

I can't remember

it was so long ago

that I first heard

this youthful fantasy

that the stories merge

into a jumble

of words that

make no sense

I guess that's the penalty

for a life long lived
